Jeff Lydell, Producer of Dawn of War II - Retribution commented: "We all love the Blood Ravens here at Relic Entertainment, but there are also a lot of fans of the other races and armies out there so we decided that Retribution should allow the player the freedom to experience the campaign from the perspective they select.

About Retribution It is ten years since the events of Chaos Rising and Sub-Sector Aurelia has been in a constant state of warfare with the Imperium struggling to retain control.

The apparent betrayal of the chapter by Gabriel Angelos and his Space Marines has shaken the Blood Ravens and now the Imperial forces are beset on all sides by hostile aliens. Retribution allows the player to select the race of their choosing in a battle to determine the very survival or destruction of the entire sector.

Read the interview HERE. The game is aimed to be released on March Now I don't know about you, but as an avid DoW fan I am very excited about this. A shame we will have to wait till next March, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Now there is much speculation as to the nature of this new campaign mode, as you will be able to select a faction and play through their unique story.

We will just have to wait for more information to find out. There is much speculation as to what the new faction may be. I am not too sure, however I think that the Inquisition may make an appearance at least. One thing is for sure, this should be a great addition to the series, and I look forward to its release. Finally multi-race single player campaign makes a debut in DoW II - been waiting for a long time for this and will have to wait a bit more, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Didn't like Soulstorm as much - Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle were an unnecessary addition in my opinion. I still play Soulstorm now, as I also like the old way of massing huge armies, and building buildings.

The campaign in Soulstorm wasn't really anything special, but I did like the addition of the armies as it just adds more options and more foes to fight against. In my opinion Dark Eldar were the worst faction hands down, but Sisters of Battle were actually quite good, and I liked them. If rumors are anything to go by which we all know they aren't , if they do bring out the Inquisition as a new faction, they may well include Sisters of Battle units, as well as Grey Knights, Assassins, and elements of Imperial Guard, however most people think it will be a new imperial Guard army, with perhaps an Inquisition commander.

The only thing I didn't like about the skirmish type campaign mode was every now and again you would get put on a massive 8 player map, with just you and the enemy to play on it, and they would sometimes take ages to complete.

I did like how you could chose a faction, and then battle all others to dominate, that was fun. I kind of hope they don't do that with this though, although it is fun, with what they have going so far with DoW2 I think the stories could be a lot better. I hope they have something like RA3 or like they did in AvP, where you have like, one story, but play it from different species perspectives, which all intermingle somehow.
