When it had not even been dispatched I cancelled the order and demanded a refund. They told me I would have my refund in days.
And no refund has been made. I have now sent this company in excess of 30 emails since the order was first placed. All I get in return is a reply which although polite is full of lies! I have now checked Valuebasket out on many online review sites and unfortunately my experience of them stealing my money is not uncommon. The internet is littered with accounts of Valuebasket taking an order, and payment for goods which never arrive. Their are also my reports of Valuebasket supplying FAKE items, that is when something actually does arrive!
I ordered a pair of jaybird blue bud earphones at the start of September as the website said there were 5 in stock in white and 2 in stock in black. In the first week I kept returning to the website as the status of my order was 'not paid' however my credit card statement said I had paid for it. The website insisted that I had not paid for ithe item but I held my ground as the funds had already came out of my credit card.
A week later they finally told me that the item had been paid for. I waited for the earphones to be delivered and three weeks later they still had not shipped the item. I continually checked the website and it kept showing that they had many of the earphones in stock. To make matters worse when I originally purchased the earphones they cost ,4 weeks later and I still had not received the item the product went on sale to Worst Internet purchase experience I have had.

I have contacted them repeatedly to cancel and get a refund but they keep fobbing me off, making excuses and lying that my order is being dispatched or has been dispatched depending on whom I'm speaking to. They seem to be operating from Hong Kong. They are definitely not UK-based.
I have contacted my bank to get a chargeback on my card as they are refusing to refund my money. That company is to be avoided at all cost! I didn't ever receive the phone ordered from Value basket. My credit card was debited on the 15th May, but its now the 20th June, and I have received nothing but frustration with this purchase. I have now cancelled the order, and am waiting for a refund, but even that is frustrating.
Value basket offer free gifts if I will wait a little longer. That is not an option, and I have now bought the phone from a UK supplier, with free next day delivery. Their web site showed they had 22 of them in stock at that time. How long can it take to pick an item from a shelf, put it in a postage bag and post it??? On Monday the 10th June I got an unannounced text message from DPD Dynamic Parcel Distribution that an item with tracking number was going to be delivered to me on the 12th June I was getting concerned on the 11th June as the DPD website still showed that they were awaiting to receive the parcel in Newbury. Your order has now been shipped, and is expected to arrive in the next couple of business days.

I've now been waiting for two weeks, and my order still shows as 'being prepared' I'm really not impressed, as I consider if something is in stcck and my card has been debited, the goods should be on their way?!
